Great restaurant a few steps away from the National WWII museum. The Cochon park was the outstanding dish, the crunchy skin was amazing! The fisherman’s prep of the fish (red fish in our case) had scales still on underneath (warning if you’re like me and wants to eat the skin!). Fried alligator and fire grilled oysters were tasty.

This Michelin star restaurant is easily my favorite restaurants. Period. We traveled to New Orleans from New York to escape the freezing temperatures (and to attend a 40th birthday party) and experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime meals is a ✅ off the old bucketlist. Choose anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed

Cochon is an excellent restaurant if you’re looking to try something out of the ordinary. The alligator was flavorful and cooked perfectly, while the brisket was juicy and very well-seasoned. The cozy, lively atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. Perfect for both adventurous eaters and BBQ lovers!

We dined here on our first night in the city. The restaurant is in a renovated warehouse and the decor first right in with the esthetic. It was busy but got a table without a reservation. Definitely reserve on the weekends. Crafted cocktails were great, though a little pricey. It’s the menu that is the star if the show!! The boudin should definitely be tried! The rabbit and dumplings were fantastic!! Great flavor and use of herbs, brisket was also great!, but a suggestion for those who are from great barbecue states- try something else- definitely good but you can get good brisket where you live. Amazing fresh rolls and the banana pudding is a must try. Service was friendly and professional. Definitely coming back.

Oh lala that Cochon (5/5)?! It was so tender, flavorful, soft, and moist. So, so good. The crab dip was also 10/10 very delish with chunks of fresh sweet crab and sharp cheese. The oysters were good too (4/5). And very smokey, tasty gumbo (4/5). Staff was also very nice. Highly recommend!

Came here on a whim for lunch after going to the WWII museum. Glad I did. The wood fired oysters were amazing. I have never had anything like them. The shrimp stew with Tasso was also very delicious. A few craft drinks and lunch was perfect. A great experience. It you are in the area and looking for lunch, it is worth a stop.

We really enjoyed this place! Wonderful service and really good food. We really enjoyed the gumbo and the gator bites, as well as the crab gratin. For the brisket, it was good but we actually enjoyed the deviled egg potato salad next to it so much that we ordered more. We also preferred the pineapple upside down cake over the banana pudding, but both were still good. We both tried the amaretto sour and whiskey sour, and greatly enjoyed them both. This is a great place and has such nice staff. Well worth the visit!

We made same-day reservations and were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. Our server gave us some great food and drink recommendations. We ordered a couple of Old Fashions, Alligator Bites, Fried Boudin, and the Wood Fired Oysters. The small plates came in stages, and the timing was perfect. Complimentary bread rolls and garlic butter were provided, and they melted in our mouths. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and evenly portioned. The ambiance was lively and entertaining, and the restaurant was clean and modern. I would highly recommend Cochon for friends and couples to dine in a clean, modern establishment with friendly and efficient service.

Where do I start? The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Shout out to Maddy and company! The food? Unbelievable. My son told me this was the place to go and boy was he right. We sat at the “Food Bar”… So happy I experienced this. For true food lovers, look no further. Thanks to Chef John for making our experience unforgettable as well as Sean; his cooking is the reason we came here.

I’ve eaten at Cochon Butcher a number of times and it is my favorite lunch restaurant in New Orleans. This was my first time to Cochon Restaurant. It definitely lives up to the outstanding reviews and provided a tremendous meal. I loved the fresh dinner rolls that came out with a local IPA I ordered, as I sat at the bar to eat. I tried the fried meat pie appetizer and it was great - like an empanada with some slightly spicy garnish to dip into. The namesake Louisiana Cochon was off the charts. It was tender, a little fatty, savory goodness. It was on a bed of pickled cabbage and turnips that were accentuated with small pieces of chicharrones. Amazing. Finally, I had the lemon buttermilk icebox pie - at the recommendation of the bar tender - and it was lemony perfection. Thank goodness I had a 20 minute walk back to my hotel. I was so full and so incredibly happy with this meal. Highly recommend.
